Join us for an educational program on the racial activism of Frank Sinatra through both his art and life, including the cultural impact of the Rat Pack.
About the Event
We’ll explore Frank Sinatra’s efforts to promote equality in American society throughout his life, including his short film The House I Live In, an essay for schoolchildren "What’s this about Races?" that he wrote in 1945, and his fundraising for Martin Luther King Jr. We’ll also discuss the cultural impact of the racially integrated Rat Pack and Sinatra’s directorial debut on the anti-war film None But the Brave in 1965.
