Join AARP California, community partners and experts to learn how to identify, avoid and report scams before they happen.

In the fight against fraud, knowledge is power.

In recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, join AARP California and Santa Clara County Department of Aging and Adult Services and Adult Protective Services for a Scam Jam - a fraud prevention forum. Learn how to identify, avoid and report scams before they happen. Hear from experts and learn about the top scams in Silicon Valley, common red flags of scams, tips to protect yourself from identity theft, and receive important resources and tools.

Doors open at 8 a.m. PT and a light breakfast will be provided before the formal program begins. Free parking is available in the parking structure at 353 W. Julian from the second floor and above. Parking spaces are available on a first come first serve basis, and carpooling and public transportation are encouraged.
