Accumulating treasures can make downsizing daunting. This session offers decluttering tips, like the 10-minute sweep, and guidance to embrace change and find freedom.
About the Event
You spend a lifetime accumulating treasures, trinkets and memories. All that “stuff” can make downsizing feel like a monumental endeavor, and the stress can negatively impact brain health. This fun interactive presentation explores why stuff is so important to some people and shares easy-to-follow tips on decluttering and downsizing, from the 10-minute sweep and the four-pile sort to ideas for distributing legacy items.
Licensed counselor Leslie Pendleton leads this workshop, recognizing how difficult it can be to execute changes in our lives that could offer a sense of freedom. Participants will be encouraged to choose a strategy, start making progress and seek help in the effort. People of all ages are invited to join the conversation!
