Learn how state Councils on Aging can help older adults access money-saving benefits like SNAP, fuel assistance and help with taxes.
About the Event
Outreach coordinators and other staff at Councils on Aging in Massachusetts frequently work with older adult clients to find money-saving public benefits available, such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for help with food costs, fuel assistance during the heating season, and health insurance savings.
Many Councils on Aging also operate senior centers that provide help with taxes through AARP Foundation Tax-Aide programs, guidance about Medicare and food distribution programs. Learn more about how COAs can be the key to spending less and discovering assistance you may not have been aware of.
