About the Event
Pelvic issues such as urinary Incontinence and lack of bowel control are not something you have to accept as a normal part of aging. Learn about your body’s bladder-brain connection, how it affects daily living, and what you can do to improve your pelvic health. We’ll explore common causes, lifestyle tips and available treatments.
This is a two-part series led by physical therapists:
- Session 1 will focus on physiology, common concerns and evidence-based practices and treatments.
- Session 2 will allow participants to practice physical therapy techniques intended to help control urinary incontinence.
Speakers:
- Cheri Teranishi-Hashimoto, PT, DPT, MS, MSPT, is the therapy director and program director of Women's Health & Cancer Rehabilitation at Rehab Hospital of the Pacific.
- Erica Saito, PT, is a physical therapist at Rehab Hospital of the Pacific.
