About the Event

Join AARP Illinois in our virtual craft studio for a relaxing DIY project! Learn how to make your own citronella candles, perfect for keeping bugs at bay while adding a warm glow to your outdoor spaces. (Bonus: Consider a few gardening tips for enjoying those outdoor spaces.)

This simple candle can enhance your warm late summer and fall evenings and makes a thoughtful handmade gift. Supplies needed: paraffin or soy wax, tins or mason jars, wicks, citronella essential oil, heating unit and pot.
