Join us for a demonstration on cooking traditional Indian food. This final session features Chana Masala (chickpeas), naan and frozen yogurt.
About the Event
Watch as we cook up the spiced tomato-based chickpea dish known as Chana Masala, naan, and kesar (saffron) and pistachio frozen yogurt.
The main components of Indian meals are a dal (lentil soup); a shaak, or curry (vegetable); rice; and flat bread. Raita (yogurt dip), kachumber salad and papad (lentil crisp) may be added as side dishes depending on what is being served.
Indian desserts or mithai (sweets) are popular all over the world and are served at all celebrations and as a prasad, or daily offering.
