The final session in our series on using art as a lens into our own lives features the works of Georgia O’Keeffe.

About the Event

In this series, “Profiles in Creative Aging: Art for Personal Reflection” you’ll learn about the works of influential American artists and reflect on your own life, sparked by their art. A fresh and fun lens through which to conduct a “life review,” the life and works of these artists serve as a vehicle for learning about ourselves and inspiration for our own creative choices as elders. This session, “Georgia O’Keeffe - Invention and Reinvention,” will examine the masterworks of a passionate artist who seized opportunities and is known for reinventing herself, shifts that are reflected in her paintings.

This will be an interactive, image-filled series. No knowledge of art or art history is needed. Bring a journal or paper and something to write with, and be prepared for some quiet reflection about your own life as well as a deep dive into masterworks of art.
