We’ll explore what to consider when helping loved ones with end-of-life decisions.
About the Event
Have you assumed some responsibility for your parents’ well-being as they’ve aged? Has your spouse been diagnosed with a disease that will require you to aid with daily activities and medical oversight? Do you have a child with special needs? Are you the back-up caregiver for a friend or family member? If any of these situations apply, this eight-part series can help guide and strengthen your role as a caregiver.
In session four, we’ll discuss four legal considerations for caregivers, including gathering loved ones’ important information and end-of-life decisions. You’ll get an overview of what to consider when building a will or estate plan, as well as tips on understanding existing end-of-life instructions.
A light dinner at 5:00 p.m. will be followed by the workshop at 6:00 p.m. Respite care for loved ones will be provided during the one-hour workshop.
Upcoming sessions in the series:
10/7: Financial Planning
10/14: Home Healthcare/Safety and Mobility
10/21: Veterans Rights/Access to Benefits
10/28: Medicare & Medicaid
