Watch dance icons Misty Copeland and Roberto Bolle perform in this classic ballet.
About the Event
Misty Copeland and Roberto Bolle, both principal dancers with American Ballet Theatre, perform together for the first time in Romeo and Juliet at the historic Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Choreographer Kenneth MacMillan adapted Shakespeare’s tragedy as a ballet in 1965, using movement and dance set to Sergei Prokofiev’s score to express human relations, lyricism and psychological tension. Set and costumes were designed especially for La Scala by Mauro Carosi and Odette Nicoletti.
