Building Vibrant Cities and Healthy Communities
Join us for the 2019 Regional Livability Solutions forum featuring special guest Gil Peñalosa, Urban Planner and Founder of 8 80 Cities, an international non-profit organization centered on a simple but powerful philosophy: if we make our cities and communities work well for an 8 year old and an 80 year old, then it will be great for all people.
Learn about long-term benefits of creating age-friendly communities and how to develop vibrant and healthy communities for everyone regardless of age, gender, and social or economic diversity and ethnic background. Gil is an advisor to decision makers and communities worldwide on how to create vibrant cities and healthy communities for all. His focus is on the design and use of parks and streets as great public places, as well as the promotion of sustainable mobility. Gil’s presentation will be followed by a reaction panel of local leaders and discussion.
