Join AARP Oregon every Monday morning at 10 a.m. in June for Mindful Movement and get your week off to a great start.

Practice mindful movement for the best overall functioning of your whole body. Change as we age is inevitable, but mindful movement will help you feel your best. Stay healthy physically and mentally, find better sleep, increase balance, and experience greater ease of movement in an extra gentle class. Harnesses the innate capability of the body to improve its powers and functioning.

Mindful movement can act as an instant cognitive boost. It helps relieve stress, which enhances the functioning of the brain. Movement is practiced sitting in a chair or standing, we will not be sitting on the floor.

Time: Mondays 10 am-10:45 am We don't do floor work, but we do use some tools such as yoga block (rolled towel with a band around it will work) and a yoga strap (substitute a hand towel).

Please consult your physician before beginning any exercise program. The class is delivered virtually via the Zoom platform and is free for AARP members and guests. Each participant must complete this pre-registration and waiver prior to joining the yoga sessions. Upon registration you will be send the link for the weekly class. If you would like to invite a guest to this event, they will need to register themselves directly to agree to the liability waiver.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Diane Butera is a 500 RYT-E yoga educator. Her focus of inquiry through mindfulness tools is furthers wellness of body, mind, and spirit. Diane’s cancer diagnosis 10 years ago led her to become a strong advocate for mindful healing through yoga and guided meditation. She leads classes and workshops for back pain, anxiety, insomnia, cancer healing, pelvic floor, beginning yoga and more. Diane has a passion for introducing people to mindful movement in a way that is accessible and enjoyable.
