Join us for a break from caregiving and a chance to unleash your creativity! Get step-by-step guidance as we paint and learn about caregiving resources.
About the Event
Are you caring for a loved one? Do you need some time to recharge and tap your creative side?
Caregivers need a break, even if it’s just for a couple of hours. So, grab your favorite hot or cold beverage, get your creative juices flowing, and try your hand at painting a summer lighthouse.
AARP New Hampshire will provide a brief presentation about available caregiving resources along with step-by-step instructor-led guidance as you create your masterpiece.
Supplies needed:
- A canvas, canvas board or acrylic paper (9"x 12" or 11" x 14" recommended but any size works)
Easel (optional) - Acrylic paints: red, blue, yellow, white and black; green is optional (we will also blend it in class)
- 3-5 brushes, from large to fine-detail sizes
- Pencil for composition sketching
- A cup of water to rinse brushes
- Small plate to mix colors
- Paper towels
