Take Steps to Protect Yourself from Identity Theft - Shred Instead & Recycle Your Old Electronic Devices!
Join AARP Nevada volunteers and staff on Saturday, April 19th between 9am and noon for free document shredding & electronic recycling! Simply drive up, open your trunk, and we'll empty your boxes into the shredding truck for you & remove your electronics for recycling.
This event is open to the public - AARP membership is not required.
Limit 3 bankers boxes (or equivalent) per vehicle for shredding.
ACCEPTABLE ITEMS INCLUDE:
Paper, folders, hanging folders, manilla folders, window envelopes, spiral notebooks, elastics/rubber bands, clips, binder clips, and staples.
**Batteries, 3 ring binders, CDs/DVDs, cardboard, plastic (sheet protectors, credit cards, etc.), hard drives and any other non-recyclable items cannot be shredded and should not be brought to this event.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES THAT CAN BE RECYCLED AT THIS EVENT:
Desktop computers, laptops, computer monitors, cell phones, blackberries, iPads, tablets.
