You've probably heard about the growing popularity of e-bikes, especially for people looking to replace car trips or keep riding as they age or manage mobility challenges. Curious about riding one? Want to see what all the buzz is about?
Join AARP and the Bicycle Coalition of Maine for a short bike ride in Bangor on the 18th of July from 9:00AM - 10:15AM. The BCM will have 10 e-bikes available for people to ride. They will do a brief safety talk then lead a 20–25-minute bike ride. If you want to join with your own bike, you are welcome to come along for the ride.
Additional details:
- The ride will be on low-traffic roads and bike paths, likely some gravel. We will try to include a hill so you can really see how e-bikes can make a bike commute easy and fun.
- Led by certified bicycle safety instructors.
- Helmets will be provided.
- Class 1 e-bikes, with a step through and very comfortable to ride.
Space is limited and registration is required. There are two identical sessions for the bike event. The same information will be presented at each session. We ask that you please select only one session so we can accommodate everyone who is interested in joining.
