AARP Maine Fraud Watch: Fraud Awareness Month Presentation
The AARP Maine Fraud Watch Program is a free scam-awareness and prevention initiative designed to help people of all ages recognize and avoid fraud and scams. Through monthly virtual discussions led by trained volunteers, community presentations, and partnership events, the program shares practical tips on spotting scams, protecting personal information, and responding if targeted. It also connects individuals with support resources, including access to the national AARP Fraud Watch Network, which offers up-to-date scam alerts, prevention guidance, and a toll-free helpline staffed by specialists to assist anyone affected by or concerned about fraud.
