AARP Maine’s Annual Meeting, which brings together members, volunteers, partners, and legislators from across the state, celebrates the year’s advocacy and outreach achievements on behalf of older adults in Maine, and recognizes winners of our annual awards. Each year, the venue of the Annual Meeting moves to a different part of the state and this year we will be in Bangor.
In addition to our three Annual Awards, AARP Maine is introducing a new award this year – A Champion in Aging Award. Details of all awards are listed below –

Our keynote speaker this year will be Maine Senate President, Troy Jackson, and he will speak to issues of high interest to those over 50 in the coming legislative session, and he will share thoughts on how volunteer advocates can better engage with legislators on issues of importance to older adults, especially with an eye toward bipartisanship.
