We’ll hear from Alan King, one of the Chosen Few DJs behind this popular dance music.
About the Event
Tune in for a virtual conversation with Alan King, an original member of Chicago’s “Chosen Few DJs” who developed the soulful style of dance music called House Music. Known as a “lawyer by day, DJ by night,” Alan regularly plays at clubs and events throughout the U.S. and beyond, including via his popular mix shows on SoundCloud and Twitch.
As vice president of the Chosen Few DJs, Alan has represented House Music culture in many ways, including by having the Chosen Few Picnic & House Music Festival formally acknowledged by former U.S. President Barack Obama. He will be interviewed by speaker, author, life coach and youth advocate Teena Sloane, a self-described “Househead."
