In this session of “Webinar Wednesday,” we will explore the phenomenon that was The Beatles and examine their innovations and legacy.
About the Event
A musicologist once referred to The Beatles as “One of the most transforming entities of 20th-century music” and claimed that they changed the course of popular music forever. Were they really so much more than just four rock ’n’ roll “mop tops”?
What made them such a strong force that Beatles music is still popular more than 50 years later? In this session of a three-part series on towering forces in music, presented by award-winning musician and lecturer Barry Wiesenfeld, we’ll explore the phenomenon that was The Beatles: their growth, originality, musical innovations and lyric depth.
