A six-week low impact cardio and strength training class for improved health.
About the Event
Certified fitness instructor, Shauni Hawkins will lead a free virtual low impact cardio and strength training class for six weeks. Let’s get your heart rate up with low impact cardio, combined with strength and balance training for a fun and sweaty full body workout. We’ll finish with an energizing stretch so you’re ready to tackle the rest of your day.
Equipment needed: a chair and light/medium dumbbells OR household items like canned food, water bottles, balls, throw pillows to provide resistance. Please consult your physician before beginning any exercise program.
How to Join
This class is free, but you must pre-register. You will need to register separately for each session you are interested in attending. Sign in to your AARP.org account or create an account to register for events. AARP membership is not required. You will be emailed a link to join the class via Zoom prior to the event.
Each participant must complete a waiver of liability as part of the registration process prior to participating. If you would like to invite a guest to this event, they will need to register themselves directly to agree to the liability waiver.
