With costs rising, many older adults are affected by food insecurity today, but there are ways to get help.
About the Event
Join us for a conversation about food insecurity, an official term used by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to describe the condition of not having enough to eat and being uncertain about where the next meal will come from. Food insecurity is a big problem in the United States today, especially among older adults, but there is help available.
Jackie Budilov of the AARP Foundation will discuss:
- The realities of food insecurity
- The prevalence of food insecurity, particularly among older adults
- Where to find help
