Family Support and Respite
A volunteer may be asked to pick up and deliver groceries or personal items to the home. Respite is when the volunteer spends time, usually an hour or two, with the patient allowing the primary caregiver time alone or away.
Volunteers are often used to support this process through clerical support, attending meetings and/or providing assistance with bereavement mailing.
