We are currently in need of volunteers to tutor homeless students in K-12 all across Southern California.School on Wheels is a non-profit organization that seeks to enhance educational opportunities for homeless and foster children in kindergarten through twelfth grade.

We aim to close the academic gaps by offering academic support and supplies year-round.School on Wheels is looking for dedicated people to volunteer tutor for one hour a week with homeless children and youth, and teens. The wonderful kids we serve are living in shelters, emergency drop-in centers and other locations throughout Southern California.

Our tutors are the "wheels" by visiting the children where they are at to provide tutoring. No previous mentoring or teaching experience is required, just a willingness to make a real and lasting difference in a young person's life by helping them academically. And you will be volunteering with a student in an age range that you're comfortable working with for just an hour a week.
