Volunteer Ombudsman spend a few hours a week advocating for residents in long term care facilities. If you like to problem solve, build relationships, and help improve someone's quality of life; you will be able to make a difference for individuals living in long term care facilities.
Our volunteers advocate on behalf of the resident, educate staff and families on Resident Rights, and investigate and resolve concerns using a variety of methods. Volunteers must be over 18, able to pass a background check and be available for regular visits to their assigned facility. Training for volunteers is four hours long and will be completed by the local Ombudsman in your area.
Opportunities available state wide. For more information, call Laura Fischer at 1-855-462-5465 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information about the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program visit our website at http://www.nd.gov/dhs/services/adultsaging/ombudsman.html.
