Key Responsibilities:

- Greet persons entering the local unit, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
- Perform various administrative support tasks.
- Provide administrative support to Red Cross staff and volunteers.
- Answer telephone calls, take messages, or transfer calls.
- Sort and deliver incoming mail and send outgoing mail.
- Provide general information to staff, volunteers, clients, and the public.
- Type, format, or edit routine memos or other reports.
- Copy, file, and maintain paper or electronic documents and records.
- Create Word documents and Excel spreadsheets using Microsoft Office.
- Write and send emails to staff, clients, and the public.
- Schedule and confirm appointments and maintain event calendars.
- Collect and follow up with any issues, feedback and stories from customers and the public.
- Perform various administrative support tasks.

Time Commitment:

- Monday or Wednesday 10am-3pm.


- Passion for the Red Cross mission and the community.
- Work well with others.
- Respectful and maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn.
- Computer skills are desired, but not required.


- Orientation to American Red Cross.
- On the job training.
