Volunteers who help at a Gathering site are not only helping someone one-on-one with memory loss, they are also giving five hours of respite to the caregiver of the person with memory loss. There are six Gathering sites around the Twin Cities, all supported by their local consortium of churches and Lyngblomsten.

Gathering sites meet on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 10-3. The Gathering meets at two sites in White Bear Lake and West St. Paul, one site in Roseville and Woodbury.

Lead volunteers plan five hours of brain stimulating activities for a one on one volunteer and a participant. All volunteers are fully trained in the distinctive needs of people experiencing early- to mid-stage memory loss. If you like to plan activities, you may want to volunteer as a Lead, or if you would like to show up and create a great friendship with just one person, you may want to volunteer as a one-on-one volunteer.

Contact Melanie Jagolino for more information about volunteering for The Gathering or check out for more information about The Gathering.

You are also welcome to attend one of our Respite Q&A Sessions which are open to the public.
