Are you 55 or better and looking for a way to give back to the community? Look no further! The Senior Companion Program of Oakland and Macomb counties are looking for volunteers aged 55 and better to serve in the community.

Our volunteers focus on providing assistance and friendship to older adults who have difficulty with daily living tasks, such as shopping or paying bills. Through this program, AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers keep seniors independent longer and provide respite to family caregivers. AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers themselves report better health and longevity having served their community.

This is a long-term volunteering position. There is an income requirement, as our volunteers receive a non-taxable stipend in order to cover the costs of volunteering.
