Help us turn every home into a safer home during COVID-19 by volunteering at our Second ACT Thrift Store! As a volunteer at Second ACT, you make a difference in the lives of survivors across Lee, Hendry and Glades counties by helping out around the store!
All proceeds generated from Second ACT Thrift Shop fund our free, safe and confidential services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence and human trafficking. Our program participants are also able to get items they need from the thrift store at no cost to them. Your time makes it possible for our doors to stay open during these difficult times in our community. We are so grateful for our volunteers and their support!
Volunteer duties include sorting donations in the warehouse, straightening and displaying items, removing empty hangers, clearing out the dressing rooms, light housekeeping, putting out merchandise/clothing, and some customer service. The dress code is casual; closed toed comfortable shoes, no tank tops or short-shorts. We ask that you volunteer at least 4 hours at a time. Please remember to sign in and out for each shift that you volunteer.
