Caring for patient and families in the last months and weeks of life is a special privilege. At AseraCare, we hope to help patients and their families cherish these moments. Volunters are a key way to live out this mission.

Volunteers provide regular weekly visits with activities ranging from helping create a "life review" to playing cards to simply sitting quietly by the bedside when a patient is resting so the family knows they were not alone. Volunteers must be able to rpvide own transportation, pass background and drug screens, and be up-to-date on their TB screening (all of which is paid for by AseraCare).

Ample training provided on what to expect in the hospice journey, how to provide supportive presence, and when to call for help. Volunteers do not provide hands-on personal care such as bathing or toileting.
