Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care of Delaware is in need of volunteers with wonderful knitting and crocheting skills for our We Honor Veterans program. We will provide the yarn! Volunteer knitters and crocheters make lap blankets for our hospice patients who are Veterans. The lap blankets are presented to our Veteran patients during a We Honor Veterans ceremony, which provides the opportunity to thank our Veteran patients for their service.

Our Veteran patients love receiving these hand-made knit gifts. If you would like to become a Knitting or Crocheting Volunteer, please contact Rebekah Welch, Volunteer Coordinator, at 302-533-3800 or You will be creating a touching memento for our Veteran patients and their family members that they can cherish for a lifetime.

We will provide the yarn and materials you need and you can select the pattern of choice.
