Ashby Village is a community network of seniors living in the cities of Berkeley, Kensington, Albany, El Cerrito, Emeryville, parts of Oakland and Richmond who want to remain independent, in their own homes and communities for as long as possible into old age.

We are currently expanding our services into the City of Richmond and are seeking volunteers from Richmond. Volunteers provide a variety of short term services to help this happen. Although there are opportunities for other kinds of help, one of the greatest needs is for drivers to medical appointments or shopping.

The amount of time spent volunteering could be small, but the gratitude and satisfaction is large.

Skill Desired: Social Media/Digital Marketing, Project Management, Landscaping/Gardening, Handyman/Painting/Cleaning, Information Technology

Matching Interests: Outdoors, Geared for 50+ volunteers, Indoors, Seniors, Community
