Sisters in Shelter is seeking Volunteers to aid our efforts to end sex and labor human trafficking. Volunteers will assist in awareness activities throughout Northwest & North Central Ohio. Female Volunteers may also assist with accompaniment of adult, female victims seeking healing and care in our secured residence.

Volunteers will complete an 8-session training series and background check. Training is provided for a cost of $10 to cover materials.

Awareness activities may include: preparing mass mailings; researching opportunities; building partnerships; representing the agency at meetings, events, etc.; presenting/speaking at formal functions; host displays; publications; donation management; or general clerical assistance.

Residence Volunteering could include: modeling social and emotional behaviors; demonstrating activities of daily living such as meal prep, housekeeping, laundry, money management and basic decision; listening and conversation; promoting a healthy lifestyle; transport to medical or clinical appointments; and sharing moments with women, broken from unimaginable abuses, as they journey towards healing.
