NeighborWorks Umpqua has a great opportunity for individuals or teams interested in helping 5 low-income working families realize their dreams of homeownership thanks to our Mutual Self-Help Housing program, DreamBuilders. Thanks to the DreamBuilders service, five families work together with the help of volunteers to build their homes. The families are required to provide 65% of the labor and your volunteer assistance helps ensure these families will finish the homes on schedule and within budget.
No experience is required for this opportunity. Our Construction Supervisor or experienced leads will show you how to work on the homes and will be available to answer any questions. New volunteers are required to go through a short orientation on the job site that includes basic tools usage and site safety training. For more information or to sign up, call 541-249-5328 to talk with our Volunteer Coordinator, Becky.
