The Disaster Public Affairs Team Member (DPAT) will support the South Florida Region with on call communications efforts and report to the Public Affairs Department. The primary purpose is to create a team of volunteer communications professionals to assist the region with on call media relations.

Some key responsibilities include:

ユ Willingness to support Red Cross Mission.

ユ Willingness to be on call from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. for overnight disaster calls.

ユ Media relations ヨ contact media to advise them of Red Cross DAT (Disaster Action Team) response after a disaster.

ユ DPAT volunteer reports evening activities to Communications Specialist

ユ In the event of a large-scale disaster, DPAT volunteer contacts the Communications Specialist to deploy

ユ Red Cross Media Training will be provided
