Contact: rbulzan@thehumaneleague.orgThe Humane League is looking for Changemaker Captains in Alabama to lead their local communities to end the abuse of animals raised for food. Captains work closely with THL's Senior Field Organizer, Ryan Bulzan, to take actions on our campaigns, veg advocacy work, and local community-building initiatives.
THL Captains typically: Identify, recruit, and lead individuals in your area to grow your community of Changemakers, with the support of your Field Organizer. Empower others to take on leadership roles within the community. Organize activities and events monthly (or recruit a volunteer leader to do so) to support one of our key program areas, including: corporate campaigns, veg advocacy, and community outreach. Collaborate with other leaders in your community and engage them in THL program areas. Meet weekly, or every other week, with your THL Field Organizer. Serve as a Changemaker Captain for at least six months; you may continue in this volunteer role after six months should it be mutually beneficial to both you and The Humane League (THL).
