Caring for patient and families in the last months and weeks of life is a special privilege. At AseraCare, we hope to help patients and their families cherish these moments and we know that for many of our patients, friends of the furry variety (especially dogs and cats) are key to their well being.

AseraCare hospice trains the human member of the pet team on all aspects of hospice volunteering in addition to specific training for involving the pet in visits through Pet partners online training. Must provide current rabies vaccination for the animal. Human Volunteers must be able to provide own transportation, pass background and drug screens, and be up-to-date on their TB screening (all of which is paid for by AseraCare).
