YMCA of Steuben County

Because of a vision of five community leaders, a study was conducted to determine the community needs and interest in a local YMCA. The determination of the community leaders and a well thought out plan, a beautiful, clean, Christian based organization was established in June 1999. We opened the doors to the Breeden YMCA at 500 E. Harcourt Rd., Angola, IN on January 3, 2000 at 5:00 a.m. We are an organization that is built on the solid YMCA principles of Caring, Honesty, Responsibility, and Respect. We were renamed the YMCA of Steuben County in October 2010.

The vision of the nationwide Y is to commit to Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. The YMCA offers many different programs, activities and opportunities for both members and the general public. There is truly something for everyone at the YMCA.
