History

Since 1854, the YMCA of Greater Rochester has served the diverse needs of our community. We are fortunate to be part of an international organization that has been instrumental in developing, influencing, and providing human service programs since 1844. The support and guidance of our dedicated volunteers, as well as the heartfelt effort and commitment of our staff members, is what makes the difference at the Y. By drawing on our rich history, we help build a brighter future for our community.
