Our Purpose
The purpose of the YMCA of Austin is to enhance the lives of men, women, boys and girls in the Austin community, regardless of race, creed, age, economic circumstances and physical or mental abilities, by providing quality programs, activities and facilities which develop and maintain opportunities and help individuals to:
Develop self-confidence, self-respect and appreciation of their own worth as individuals,
Develop a faith for daily living,
Grow as responsible members of their families and communities,
Appreciate healthy minds and bodies,
Recognize the worth of all persons and work for interracial and inter-group understanding,
