Worthington Country Club Golf Course

851 West Oxford Street
Worthington, MN 56187

Worthington Country Club was organized in the year 1919. The first greens were sand with tomato cans for the cups. There was no need for a groundskeeper, as an obliging farmer provided about 100 sheep which did a good job of keeping fairways and roughs down during the first year.

The Club was incorporated as Worthington Country Club in 1937 and has grown, adding equipment, buildings, parking, grass greens, and members throughout the years. In 1963 the swimming pool was added; in 1965 an additional 9 holes were completed; and in 1968 the clubhouse was expanded. In the mid-1970's, automatic underground irrigation was installed on the golf course, and today our golf course enjoys the reputation of being one of the finest in the tri-state area.
