About Our Orchard:

Woodstock Orchards was purchased by Harold Bishop of Guilford, CT in 1958. Harold was raised on a family farm known as Bishops Orchard, but strived to have his own. Woodstock Orchards is now owned and operated by the family’s next generation, Douglas and Donna Young. Doug has since diversified the farm and greatly increased production. He added greenhouses for season extension, vegetables of all kinds, more fruits, and introduced mums on a large scale. Using the latest harvesting methods, our farm currently produces four times more than it used in 1958.

All of Doug and Donna’s boys have worked on the farm and the future generation is an active part of the entire business today. Their son Eric Young and his family bring a vibrant influx of new ideas and knowledge to the orchard, such as our new farm, fresh bakery!
