WINDOW STUDIO envisions a neighborhood where everyone has the opportunity to pursue creative endeavors in an open, inclusive and supportive environment. Inspired by the idea that art is the cognition of life, a window offers a reflection of, as well as insight into, the world in which we live, while a studio serves as the space in which to give this understanding artistic form.

About:
Window Studio is a neighborhood art center in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn dedicated to a new paradigm of community art. Window Studio invites passersby and local residents to watch artists at work in the studio on a daily basis. Visitors of all ages are welcome to come in to discuss the artwork in progress, and make art themselves, thereby bringing art as an aesthetic experience and a social practice into the context of everyday life.
Window Studio offers an artist residency, workshops, exhibits and events at affordable or no cost to
the public.
