About Us:

White Light Festival, our fourth annual celebration of music's capacity to illuminate the many dimensions of our interior lives. This year we welcome Bach's own choir, the St. Thomas Boys Choir of Leipzig; the U.S. premiere of Akram Khan's solo work DESH; renowned Italian soprano Anna Caterina Antonacci; and the adventurous JACK Quartet performing in complete darkness. We examine conceptions of time in our new series, White Light on Film. And throughout the Festival we witness ecstasy of sound and body with Mark Morris's quintessential L'Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato and the return of 2010's exuberant Manganiyar Seduction.

We invite you to extend your White Light experience through complimentary events including conversations with artists and scholars, a free opening-night concert, and post-performance White Light Lounges.

Our Festival offers a spectrum of artistic expression through which you are invited to explore the eternal present. We look forward to seeing you often.
