The Wheelersburg Branch of the Portsmouth Public Library was established in July, 1965 in a frame cottage on Old Gallia Street. In March, 1979, the Library was moved to Wheelersburg Community Center. In October, 2003, the library moved to its current location on Old Gallia Pike.
