Wheeler Park

Wheeler Park is located on Center Street in lower North Mankato and is the City's oldest park. The lower area in the park was dug out for brick making by a local business in the early part of the century. The 12 1/2-acre park is the site of the annual North Mankato Fun Days celebration every July. There are two picnic shelters, one that can be reserved and the other is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tennis courts, basketball courts, twelve clay horseshoe courts and two playground areas along with a large skating rink for winter use makes Wheeler Park a favorite for family picnics as well as company outings.
