About Us :

The West Michigan Glass Art Center ( formerly known as West Michigan Glass Society) was founded in 2002 by a local group of glass artists. Our current membership includes 210 area emerging and professional glass artists, students and friends of glass who love the magical material of glass and the mysterious process of learning to shape glass to reflect our creativity. We sponsor public events designed to increase the community awareness and exposure to glass art. We offer glass art classes and workshops in glass blowing, lampworking, stained glass, mosaics, fused glass and sandblasting.

We believe that art in any form nourishes the heart and soul. For thousands of years, glass has been a medium for artists and artisans to create objects for form and function to serve cultural needs around the world. Glass is a very interesting and demanding medium whose qualities respond to changes in heat and atmosphere. The West Michigan Glass Art Center is a registered non-profit, non-discriminatory, community funded glass arts and educational organization.
