West Lauderdale High School, formerly the West Lauderdale Attendance Center, was built in 1962 in Collinsville, MS. WLHS is an "A" school based on the Mississippi Department of Education's accountability system and is ranked the 9th highest performing high school in the state. West utilizes a traditional 4 x 4 block schedule to serve approximately 630 students and offers core classes, along with, accelerated and advanced placement courses. The school has a long history of excellence in academics, as well as, athletics. Students are afforded the opportunity to participate in various sports, clubs, and organizations. West Lauderdale is staffed with the highest quality educators who strive daily to "think outside the box" to meet the needs of all students. Teachers inspire students to reach beyond "The Kingdom" to touch the lives of others, acheive their college/career goals, and promote our community.
