A boutique winery in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area. Wesolek Vineyard serves up unique and award-winning varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zinfandel.
There are approximately 400 species of oak, although only about 20 are used in the making of wine barrels. Of the trees that are used, only 5% are suitable for making high grade wine barrels.
The average age of a French oak harvested for use in the wine barrels is 170 years old.
