About WSO:

The Washington Symphony Orchestra was founded in early 2002 by Marianna resident Dave Owens. Music Director Owens had a vision for an exceptional orchestra that would be supported by the greater Washington community and that would, in return, enhance the quality of life in the Washington County area.

The Orchestra's first rehearsal took place in April of 2002, and was attended by twenty-four musicians. Soon, the Orchestra had grown to a full symphony of over 50 musicians performing pops, classical and light classical music for the tri-state's residents and visitors.

The Orchestra is proud to begin its tenth season continuing its mission of "entertaining, educating and inspiring the community by presenting excellent musical performances."
