The Museum of Art will serve as a beacon for the art as an integral facet of the Washington State University experience and the cultural life of the Pacific Northwest.


The Museum of Art is committed to enriching the community life of Washington State University, the region and the nation by providing meaningful encounters with creativity and innovation.

To accomplish our mission, we raise funds from a variety of sources in order to:

1. Advance creative research and provide recognition to the contributions of artists and scholars.

2. Extend knowledge and inspiration through exhibitions, books, public programs and aggressive outreach.

3. Provide a lasting legacy of benchmarks in the development of the visual language through our collections.
